1/28 and 1/29/09

Morning all :)
It is still a bit chilly here in Central Texas :( But alot warmed then other places in the world so I guess that is a good thing :)
Wednesday found me being lazy, cozy and warm cuddled in the house and no exercise :(
But Thursday found me being cozy and warm but getting off my bum and movin a bit :)
Did 30 minutes on the treadmill yesterday for a total of 1.40 mile walking between 2.5 to 3.0 mile/hr.
My goal is to walk 3.0 to 3.5 mile a hour for a total of 1 hour a day. I will get to that goal by extending my time as I go ...... nothing big just extending it 5 minute increments as the weeks and months go by (with a minimum of 30 minutes to start with) The exercise part of being/livin healthy is something I have to work on a bit at a time. Because if I try to do it all at once then after a week or two I throw in the towel and say forget it ...... Do you ever have that problem?? An all or nothing attitude??
Eating and water have been good :)
Work is good :) I have this weekend off ..... Sunday will be sitting in front of the tv rootin on the Steelers to win the superbowl :)) GO STEELERS :))

Tuesday 1/27/09

Hey there Blogland
Hope this finds everyone doing fabulous !!!!!!!!!!
We are having freezing rain here in Central Texas (Yukky)
first time we have had real bad icy roads in the six years I have lived here
It has snowed 3 times since I have been here (well if you want to call it snow it was gone with in a few hours LOL)
Today has been a good water day 6 16.9oz bottles of water :)
Eating well lacking a bit on veggies but still pretty good :)
Exercise ROCKS ........ 30 minutes of treadin it 1.33 miles at a leisurely walk pace (but did work up a sweat) which is good and what I am working towards :)
Work was good tonight and I made it home slow (35 to 40mph)

Last Monday of Janurary

**** UPDATE ****
Got on the treadmill got in 30 minutes 1.31 miles sweated but liesurely walked while watchin Sex in the City .
Have taken up the challenge of 3 days 30 minutes cardio and 2 days 30 minutes toning for the next seven days :))

I worked this past weekend and let me tell you last night was NOTHING but stickin and walking
for the last 4 hours of the night. VERY busy. I think I spent half my time yesterday in the ER getting sticks that the nurses were unable to get ...... OOYYYY
But I honestly "love" my job :)
I have been exercising these past few days and have to admit I feel ALOT better :)
Eating is going good :)
Water is chuggin down well :)
Life is great and I am fabulous :)

Doctor Visit

Hey there Blog World
Hope the sun is in your face and the wind is on your back :)
Life is great and worth livin :)
I went to the doctor/nutritionist monthly visit today
Down 4lbs since last visit 12-18-08
So am very happy about that :)
But told I need to get "on" the exercise wagon and "NOW"
So am doing a challenge with a email group I am in
Challenge being 30min of exercise for 3 of the next 5 days (left this week well as of yesterday)
Got in treadmill time yesterday
Today will be nothing...... spent time at the doctors then making diner and lunch ...
Fix to take hubby lunch as he is workin in town today WOOHOO but I have to go to work after that :((

Friday 1/16/09

Hey there Blogland!!!!
I think today went a bit better in the food department but still room for improvement
Breakfast was 2 nutrigrain bars at 6 am
Lunch was 2 packs instant cream of wheat with one banana
Diner was one chicken enchilada and a small salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives) with just a hint of dressing . Hubby and son come to my work and had diner with me :) How cool that was I LOVED it (even if I only get a 1/2 hour lunch time)
Water was 6 16.9oz bottles
Exercise was alot of walking in the hospital tonight (we are packed for the 3rd straight day....have patients in ER overflow) Packed house (and we have 250 rooms put 10 ER overflow rooms that are Packed full)
I have the weekend off so will be taking in some football on Sunday. I am a BIG time Steelers fan and cant wait to HOPEFULLY see them in the superbowl on the 1st of Feburary.

Thursday 1/15/09

Hey there !!
Yesterday was not to good at all. It is freezin here OK OK I know it is not as cold as up north but we did not even make it to 45 yesterday :( Oh where oh where is spring !!!! And in July and August I will be complaining it is to dang hot ........ Is there ever a happy medium ??

Breakfast was a nutri grain breakfast bar
Lunch was 1/2 a grilled italian chicken wrap 2 sugar cookies
Diner was 1 turkey burger enchilada and 1/4 cup mexican rice, 1 cup lite orange slice dannon yogurt
After work was 1 medium vanilla frosty, 1 nutri grain bar, 15 crackers
Water was 6 16.9 oz bottles of water
I did not eat until 1pm yesterday (except for the breakfast bar at 6 am) Just was not hungry GRRRR

Hope yesterday found everyone in good moods :)

Wednesday 1/14/09

Hey there BlogLand !!!

Hope this finds all doing great.

Today has been a great day!!
I am on my 5th 16.9oz bottle of water
Breakfast was 2 packs of instant cream of wheat
2 teaspoons lite butter
1 nutri grain breakfast bar (at 5am)
Lunch was cheese sandwich
2% cheese (one slice)
2 slices whole wheat bread with lite mayo
15 pretzels
Diner was 1 turkey burger enchilada
1 cup mixed spanish rice and fat free refried beans with one teaspoon lite sourcream

I had way to many carbs as you can see
no veggies or fruits........
it seems like I do better eating on days I have to work
Exercise is still none existant ..... I dont even begin to have an excuse just have not done any of it
I am seeing a weight loss on the scale but not counting anything on paper until I go to the doctors next thursday.
Hubby is still rockin to treadmill every day ......... I am soooooo proud of him :)
Lifting my water bottle to a better tomorrow :)

Saturday 1/10/09

Hey there BlogWorld

Another great week or striving to live a healthier stronger life :)

I got the chuggin water down pat... getting in atleast 6 16.9oz bottles of the clear cool stuff everyday. Eating is getting better and better..... I will start journaling all that I eat again soon :)

Now exercise that is another story. I have yet to do any "real" exercise..... just all the walking I do at work ..... but I need to get on with the real exercise up and beyond what I do at work.
My hubby is doing awesome on the exercise though ........he has walked a mile every single day on the treadmill since Dec 26th I am so very very proud of him :)

I do believe though some if not all of the 6 lbs I gained last month is off now. I go back to the doctor on Janurary 22nd so we shall see then :)

Saturday 1/3/09

Raising my bottle to a great day :)
This is my weekend off (thank goodness) and I have to say I am VERY happy the holidays are OVER !!!!!!! Don't get me wrong my favorite holiday is Christmas but this year I am just glad it is over and we have our house back to normal WOOHOOO :)
It has been very nice weather here the past two weeks (talking in the 70's) tomorrow our high is suppose to be 49 just a bit chilly and they are forecasting rain. Boy can I feel the rain too.... my fingers are swelling up a bit (they usually do this when it is fixing to rain)
Today's food has been pretty good...
I had a turkey sausage on one slice of whole wheat bread for breakfast brunch type meal
Lunch 3pm was a deli chicken (sliced) sandwich 1/2 cup 1percent low fat cottage cheese and 15 pretzels
Diner was 2 homemade spinach enchiladas (thanks to my hubby)
on my 6 16.90z bottle of water
Hate to admit it but exercise is still NONE existence
My hubby has been doing a mile (one episode of Mash on DVD) for 8 or 9 days straight now.... I am soooooooo proud of him ..... Hopefully I will join him in the exercising :)
Raising my bottle to a better tomorrow :)

25 Tips For A Better Life !!

Hey there world Happy New Year !!!
Life is great and I am blessed to have seen another new year come :)
I have changed a few things on my blog .... kinda refreshed it you may want to say :)
Blue is my favorite color LOL as if you couldnt tell huh :)
This year the sky is the limit.
I have wrote down a few resolution but then after reading a random blog have decided not to call them resolutions at all but to just strive to make life what I want it :)
I will be striving for a closer walk with Jesus. As well as becoming a better me all the way around. I am not going on a diet or pushing myself to exercise x amount of time. But I am going to strive to live a healthier life, become more active physically, try new healthier foods and continue my calling for working and learning in the health field. I will strive to cuddle more with both my men (Hubby and son) I will take more time to enjoy life and live love and laugh a bit more. God is good and Life is Good :)
