New Title :)

Hey there friends hope the sun is in your face and the wind is on your back!!!!!
Today I will have a new unformal title given to me thanks to my beautiful niece
My brother also gets a new title (Grandpa) LOL He is 37 and says he is TO young but then I kindly remind him his baby girl (oldest of his 5 kids 4 of them being girls LOL) is 20 years old..... But she is having a baby girl today..... My brother drove most the night after he got off work last night to be with her. He lives in Indianapolis and she lives in Northern Arkansas....... She goes in for a scheduled C section at noon today :) So my unformal but greatly earned and wanted new title is GREAT AUNT Dawn :) YEAH ME ..... another generation of babies to love and watch grow !!!!!!! I cant wait :) My brother is VERY excited but ..... has a bit of reservation as his daughter is married (got married in July) but her hubby is a dead beat .......he dont work he dont do much of anything...... but as I tell my brother that is HER choice and she is an adult now so all we can do is try to help guide them in their marriage and pray for them......
Oy I cant wait to see the pics of my pretty great niece :) Just wanted to share and to ask for prayers that God will keep his hands on this new family and they will strive to have a good fullfilling life :) I am gonna be a Great Auntie YEAH

Here There and Everywhere

Hey there Blogfriends!!
Hope this finds everyone having a great life !!
School is going great for the most part..... I have gotten 2 A's in Math and 2 B's in respiratory class at school and a BIG FAT D in the respiratory class online......but I have figured out part of the reason for that ....... The instructor at the testing center said I could NOT go back and redo an answer on the test once I left that page ......(it is a computer test) so I know for a fact there was 6 question I knew I got wrong and would have changed if I could have went back and reread them and rethought them out ...... Talked to the class instructor and she said NOPE you should be able to go back...... so I have my 2nd test next thursday and I will make it a point to ask then testing instructor about the going back before I sit down to start the test :)
Work is going great !!!!!! Food is good water is great ........ Exercise is still a BIG ZERO
Went to the Gyn doctor today and he is another one of my doctors that has jumped on board about me going to get lapband done........... Still have not really made a choice one way or the other..... working in the medical field I can see alot of pros to it and also alot of cons from the medical stand point......
For now we will just buckle down to school and work on the exercise thing......
I have a recument (spelling) bike and my sister told me to get a typing stand at office max or walmart..... then I can read my text books while I ride the bike........
Hey has anyone ever had to change their belt on their treadmills???
I am thinking we may need a new belt for our treadmill...... but not wanting to get one if that wont help .......LOL and dont want to just through the treadmill out and buy another one if a new belt will fix it LOL......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Welp need to get off here and get some online class work done while the house is quiet and the men in my life are fast asleep :)

Great Day 9/ 2nd test of the week DONE

Today was NOT a great day.
Well I am thankful for being alive, for having my family and friends and for my job :)
But I am not thankful for the way I ate today :(
We had a bridal shower at work for a co-worker and I had not one but two pieces of cake :(
So it was NOT good
I took my 2nd test of the week today (my 1st test for my advanced cardiopulmonary a&p class) and did like crap big time...... got barley a C on it :( GRRRRRRRRR
Hoping that with DH being gone doing his thing in the day time I will get my nose in the books and really study ..... I need to get through these classes to move on in Respiratory training
So raising my water bottle to more studying

Great Day 8/1st of 2 test this week DONE!!!

Have you ever just wanted Alone time !!! Not forever but ust for awhile, a few hours that is all??? Welp I got some of that great Alone time today !! Yeah
BIL went to work at 5:30 DH left for CDL school at 6:30 My little guy went to SIL's (so she can put him on the bus since DH is not home in the early mornings now) and I went to school at 7:30 this morning. Then I took my MIL to walmart (she did not want to go on Saturday like we usually go so I took her today) Then I came home and DH was here eating lunch so we sat and talked for abit then he was back to CDL school and I was ALONE!!!!! Just me and our yorkie Gizzy.... Peace and Quiet :) Oh how joyful it was. BIL came home at 2:30 I got Little guy off the bus at 3:00 and the ruckus was one once again :) LOL ..... My little guy and I made cookies (chocolate chip, sugar and cinnabon) for tomorrows American Heart Ass. bake/raffle sale we are having at work tomorrow. I will would like to say I only ate ONE cookie...... no little bites or anything but just ONE cookie :) and my Little guy LOVED baking with mommy :)

I have finished one of two test I have to take this week :) And very happy to say I got a 85 on it ..... I could have done better but did not study to much (Shame on me, I will be doing more studying for this class now that I have ALONE time) So that is a B !!!!!!!
I have a test to take at the testing center tomorrow then it will be off to work the bake/raffle sale at work......... I will be doing Teachers helper on thursday this week at little guys school :)
We get our flu shots on Wednesday this week :) OH YEAH LOL
I go to the regular doctors on Thursday and we shall see if I am back to before vacation weight?? I am in hopes but we shall see.

Great Day 7/ New Week

Lifting my water bottle to everyone today !!
I worked four hours on day shift this morning and am home watching the 49ers game wtih DH and my little guy. Not real sure who likes football more the big guy or the little guy.
We are making chicken fajita's for dinner with a salad should be yummy.
Tomorrow DH will be starting CDL truck driving school and I will have ALONE time.
Did I say that I need some ALONE time LOL
I have loved having him home to help around the house and just him and I hang out but boy oh boy I am ready for some just me time :) I have a test in my 2nd class tomorrow and a test in my online class on Tuesday. I am wanting this whole school thing to work out. But am only taking it one semester at a time as we work our way through it . DH has a job lined up for next month when his training is done (Oct. 16th) so I am praying it will all work out for the good.

Great Day 6/Lots of Babies

Hello Saturday ... or should I say Goodnight Saturday figuring it is almost over :)
Life is good here in Central Texas
Work was crazy today ..... I think we had 5 or 6 babies born on my shift tonight.
Lets just say baby central Huh :)
It was pretty busy at work tonight
I am working 9:30 to 13:30 tomorrow and have my shift off
So I will race home after work and watch the 49ers and the Seahawks game with DH and my little guy :) Rooting the 49ers on to hopefully a victory!!!!!!!
Food is getting better starting to cut back on the carbs. Nothing drastic just being more awear of how many of them I am putting in my mouth. So that is a good thing !!!!!

Great Day 5/TGIF

TGIF ...... Even though I work this weekend I am glad it is Friday :)
DH starts the CDL training Monday YEAH!!!!!! Finally
We went for a walk this morning...... went a new way and walked a total of 1.4 miles
It was gret to get out on a new route and see some differnet things :)
Need to do some studying this weekend for my tests next week.
My little guy is playing peewee football (started two weekends ago) and he is lovin it :)
Life is good and Day 5 is going great thus far.

Great Day 3&4/Hubby cooks!!

Yesterday was school and relaxing here at home :) Took my BIL (this ones stays with us) to the bank to see about getting some credit started for him. Hoping this will show him to slow down and bit and get real with life If that makes any sense??!!?!?
I have a Test on Monday and one on Tuesday so will try to fit in some studying this weekend. I have to work this weekend though..... Sunday I was suppose to be off but crazy me said I would work 9:30 to 13:30 to help out day shift :( What was I thinking beside time and a half pay LOL Honestly I dont work the OT for the pay .... I enjoy what I do and dont mind going in to help out. Not that the extra money wont help out here at home though :)
This morning DH and I went for a mile walk around the neighborhood. I kinda like this time together just out walking and talking ..... think it took us about 15 -16 minutes. Got home and gave him a hair cut :) THen he made me spinach enchiladas YUMMY and even put some in my lunch for me for work :) What a I to do when he does that for me :) He can be soooooo sweet :)
Starting next week we will not see alot of each other..... with him going to CDL training from 7 am to 5 pm and my work hours not ending until 9:30....... I have to say I am glad to be getting some ALONE Me time again but I am gonna miss having him around alot :(

Great Day 2/Math Results

My DH is such a great guy :) Well we have our differances at times but then he pulls off some great things and I just have to give him a Great Guy Award :)
He made turkeyburgers with turkey bacon and tomato for dinner tonight :)
I am back to eating cereal in the mornings and that seems to help with my snacking and eating a big lunch (I dont do it when I eat breakfast)
Got me a 100 on my math test yesterday :) YEAH ME !!!!!!! Now I need to really study for my first test in Advanced Cardiopulmonary A&P on Tuesday ......and a test in my other Respiratory class next Wednesday ....... I have tomorrow off school so I will be doing alot of studying :)
DH and I went for a mile walk this morning :) It was good to get out and exercise together :)

Great Day 1/Math Test

Good Morning World!!!!!!
Life is amazing and God is good !!!!
Started today off with a Math test at 8am this morning. First problem had me confused and after five minutes I skipped it and went on to the other 19 problems. Finished the other problems and came back to Problem number 1 and figured it out YEAH ME !!!!!!!
I think I did good on the test will find out when I get out of work (it will be posted on coursecompass)
Got home early cause I skipped my second class (got out of Math 45 minutes early and did not want to stick around) OK OK honestly DH is at WIA program getting his vouchers for CDL training school and I have the house to MYSELF that is the real real reason I came home early. Cause in all honesty I could have stayed at school and studied while waiting on my next class to start LOL
So I got home and had
Breakfast:
1 1/2 cup banana cherrios
1/2 cup 2% milk

Now I am off to pick up my MIL from the doctors (DH dropped her off on his way to WIA) then it is home to make a good lunch and have dinner done for the guys in my life :)
OY I love this being home ALONE time (has been 4 months since I have had it)

New Starts

New Starts!!
MMM Have you ever really thought about that?? Do we really have new starts?? Or are we starting over at the same place?? Or are we just starting over what we already know and it is nothing new at all???
Things have been happening in my home this summer. Good things. God has really truly worked miracles in my life and in the life of my DH. This is where I am today ..... not starting over..... not just dog paddling in what I already know.... But in the end I have the true power to do what I want with me life and live it as I see fit. I stumble and even crawl from time to time but, God is there to carry me or walk with me through it all. He has opened so many doors, put so many people in front of DH and myself. God has/is working his ways through us strongly.
I am still working full time and am in college 3/4 time (9 credit hours) DH "Finally" got word that he is to pick up his vouchers for CDL training school tomorrow :) YEAH!!!!! So he will start in a week from tomorrow (on Sept. 21st) and should have his CDL and be back to work by the end of October first of November. Not to sure how my house will get cleaned or how food will get cooked, laundry done..... (once DH is in class 10 hours a day and not home to do it/or help) but I am sure God will show us how to get it done and still stay on top of other things.
My weight has held steady since we came home from vacation No loss No gain just stuck. I will not be starting over.... or having a new start but I will be putting what I know to use and continue to move atleast 5 minutes a day with 2 trips up and down one flight of stairs on the days I have to work. I will continue to eat breakfast and ENJOY it :) I will continue to eat salads and work on my fruits all the while chuggin my water :) I will continue to be thankful for all my friends in life (no matter where they come from) I will be thankful for being alive and having a job I truly enjoy..... I am thankful for the men in my life but most of all I am thankful that I know God and have him in my life :)

Comin and Goin

Comin and Goin
Have you ever been there?? Have you ever felt like you are meeting yourself comin and goin?? Oy Oy Oy I have surely felt like that alot lately. God is working overtime in our (mine and DH) lives right now. He is working great things and we are finally letting him :)
I have been wondering if I should keep bloggin or not..... I do believe I have something to offer someone out there and more then that I have something to offer myself ..... I seem to do better health wise when I blog so bloggin world I AM back :)
I started back to school two weeks ago..... taking 2 classes at college and one online....ALOT of studying and finding time to study :) or trying to any ways :) My little guy started kindergarden this year.... I am helping in his class 2 hours on Tuesdays ...... and LOVE it :)
DH has not started CDL truck drivin school as of yet. We are still waiting on WIA (government agency) to sign the check (voucher) so he can go..... they are paying for it as he was laid off and is able to get this due to needing to be retrained :) We talked to his WIA counselor this past Thursday and she said it is taking a bit longer because of him having had knee surgery and they needed the paper from the surgeon saying he can get back to work and has NO limits ..... they are shooting for the 21st to have him in class and on his way :) I am way hoping and praying this IS the date he starts....... He has been so bored around the house waiting and waiting .......
I have managed to get back on track eating wise but am LOST big time on exercise...... I am managing 5 minutes a day ...... guess that is better then nothing right??

Day Nine

Ok today was Hump day :) Good ole Wednesday :)
tomorrow is day off :) YEAH ME !!!!!!!
At work we had two birthdays this month and today was celebration at work :)
Breakfast was: MMMMM GOOD DH made it :)
2 biscuits
1 1/2 cup messy eggs
3 slices turkey bacon
Lunch was:
2 biscuits
4 slices turkey bacon
Dinner was:
1 spinach enchilada
2 veggie enchiladas (carrots, butternut squash, red peppers all blended together and wrapped in flour tortilla) Was very good
1 cup alvacado tomato pepper salad
5 chips and a small bit of salsa (to hot to eat to much)
Water: 6 bottles (told ya the salsa was to hot for this yankee) :)
exercise was 5 minutes on the wii fit and twice up and down one flight of stairs at work
Snacks were:
3 bite size candies

Not to bad of a day ........ will not be buying biscuits this week...Usually I buy one can a week but am gonna do that every other week now instead..... try to wheen myself off them LOL

Plus a DH that is on my good side right now :) And a little guy that will be starting school on Monday :( My baby is growing to fast ....stop stop stop :)

Smoked turkey breast (deli meat)
2 slices cheddar cheese
lite mayo w/olive oil
tomato
Diner was:
1 cup cottage cheese
1 veggie wrap
1 lite lemon pie fat free yogurt
1/2 cup pineapple
2 slices smoked turkey meat (deli meat)
Water was: 5 bottle
Exercise was: 5 minutes on the wii fit, 2 times up and down one flight of stairs today at work

Ok not much for exercise but it is a start...... and we all have to start somewhere right???

2 cups mixed fruit :) MMMMM good
Snacks were
2 bite size chocolates
3 oz mozeralla cheese
Water 5 bottles

Still need to work on some movin :*( Not doing good at all in that department

Day Five and Six

This next week is our last week of NO school. My little guy starts kindergarden :(
What am I gonna do :(
I start back to college on the same day :) I need to get the rest of this college behind me and get on with my life :) Did Laundry and cooked went to church ..... nothing more nothing less :)
Boring weekend but glad I had it off. I will have thursday off this work week :) Then on Friday Morning I take MIL to the doctors so she can get a ultra sound on her kidneys and get blood taken. I cant wait to tell her I will only be able to take her to the doctors on fridays now ......As I will be in class on Monday and Wednesday mornings 8 to 11 then work them afternoons :) She will probably be upset with me but well I need to do what I need to do and I am available for her on Fridays :)
I need to get back into the swing of things here . Am having a hard time just staying focused :(

Day Three

Ok this is gonna be short and straight to the point..
Today was a LONG LONG hard day at work....... with only two phlebs and a Gazillion people to draw blood on :)

1 sub (deli turkey,tomato,cheese and mayo on whole wheat sub bun)
Diner was:
1 1/2 cup tuna cassorole
1 cup cottage cheese
Snacks were:
5 hersey kisses
1 fiber plus bar
1 100 cal pack popcorn
water was 5 bottles

now it is off to bed so I can do this again tomorrow :)
I am honestly happy and blessed to wake up everyday and to have a job (and one that I love)

Day Two

1 cup mulit grain rice
1 cup cottage cheese
3oz mozeralla cheese
2 cups mixed apple slices and green grapes
Water :
5 bottles :)
Snacks were:
1 bite size chocolate candy
1 fiberplus bar

Exercise is something I need to work on .........
not sure if I need to start a exercise challenge or what ?? Any ideas??

Day ONE

Hey there Blogworld :)
Hope this finds all doing fabulous with the sun in your face and the wind to your back
We returned from vacation last Thursday :) Was so happy to get home. Had a great visit with everyone :) We drove a total of 3141 miles spending 1105 dollar total (2 motel rooms, 200 cash, and 445 dollars in gas as well as some other money for food and such) for 5 people on 11 days of vacation. I think we did GREAT money wise :) The driving was crazy but in order to stop and see everyone we wanted to see we needed to drive. Next time we go to Michigan we will fly :)
We spent the first night in St Louis seen the arch the Mississippi River :) Second night we were at my girlfriends house in Michigan ...... had a great time catchin up on time :) Third day we were in Dearborn at the Ford Museum..... 3 hours of walking and walking (it is BIG) and alot to see. Third night we were in a campsite not far from my daddys in Coldwater Mi. My sister and her family were RV camping and we all spelt in a teepee that night. That was awesome and nice weather no need for a fan or a/c (like here in Texas LOL) My little guy as well as DH nephews (ages 11, 12) that we took with us got to roast marshmallows for the first time :) That was cool :)
Fourth day my sister and I drove to Indy just the two of us. We had time to talk and catch up. Everyone else rode in the RV with my BIL :) Nights Four, Five and Six we stayed at my brothers in Indy. Day Six we had my grannys 80th Bday party....... lots of people showed up and it was great :) All homemade and from the dollar store but it was so awesome........
Day Seven we headed to Kentucky to spend nights Seven, Eight and Nine with DH dad :) That was good. Day ten we headed for home spending the night in Arkansas....... in a hotel and swam in the pool and just relaxed. We left on Day eleven to finish our way back to Central Texas. The trip was great and as I said we seen alot of people and said Stop, Dont, Quit more then a million times with three boys in the back seat for all that driving :) My neices have grown so much ( I had not seen my sisters girls for 5 years) We are all getting together again in May in Arkansas for my brothers 2nd daughters high school graduation :) I almost cant wait until then :)

Ok now for reality.... I gained weight on vacation..... not gonna say how much. I am striving to get it back off plus 3 more lbs by the 27th the next doctor visit :) So I will report the gain/loss then :) One good thing this time we went on vacation though is when we got home I came "OFF" vacation food wise :)

Yesterday

3 slices honey smoked turkey breast deli
2 slices tomato
1 5 inch wheat roll
10 homemade pickle slices
Diner was:
1 cup cottage cheese
15 corn nuggets
1 cup brown rice
2 cups apple and grape slices
Snacks were:
2 fiberplus bars
3 slices cheddar cheese
Water was 5 bottles (16.90z)

So raising my bottle to another good day of eating :)

Day ThirtyTwo of the Rest of My Life

Today was a good day ......Got ONE more thing done for the trip
I bought a outfit (capri's and shirt) but I took them back ... just cant part with the extra money at this time....... I live in my scrubs (work close) 5 days a week so the good clothes I have will be enough for now :) I got snacks bought and DH packed them in ziplock baggies for me :) He is SOOOO Sweat :) I bought Pringles and fat free pringles, chex mix, fiberplus bars (2) of them, apple slices, grapes (2 bags), pears, mini boxes of raisins, deli ham and turkey, and water. So food for the road is great :) Have hotel waiting for us. Got tickets for museum in Michigan :) Need to pack clothes tomorrow before work.......have blankets and pillows ready to go :) Have air matteress ready (will be sleeping on it at my brothers) Need to do one more load of laundry tomorrow and then we are ready :) YEAHHHHHHHH Monday morning hopefully we will be leaving EARLY (shooting for 6am) well really 5 but I will take 6 LOL :) I will be blogging on the road ......hoping to not miss a day cause I need to stay on top of the food while I am gone :)

1 cup cherrios (dry)
Lunch was:
2 turkeycheese sausages (NO bread)
2 cups cottage cheese
1 small 99cent bag chips (not good)
Dinner was:
1 veggie wrap
1 fresh pear
1 cup cherry vanilla sugar free ice cream
Snacks were:
1 mini box raisins
Water was 5 bottles
Exercise was NOTHING
But work was VERY busy tonight....... was on the floor all but 1/2 hour out of 8 hours :) LOTS and LOTS of walking and Sticking people :)
We had 3 c-section babies in about a hour this afternoon..... so got to draw 3 new babies within a hour ( babies up to 7 or 8 is the hardest for me to draw, because I dont like hurting them.......when they are real little the veins are small small and when they are 2 to 5 they dont understand ....except that your fixin to hurt them with a needle...... when thre are 6 to 8 they try to be so brave and they understand but yet they dont want to get hurt from the poke cant say as though I blame them)....... But I LOVE my job and getting to make a moment in someones life a bit better or so I hope

Snacks were:
1 kashi bar
1 mini box raisins
Water was 6 bottles
Exercise was NOTHING
Today was a ok day ....... could have had less biscuits and more fruit

YEAH ME!!!!

Went to our monthly Doctor/nutrionist visit today :)
Lost 9lbs (2lbs that I had to get off from regaining last month :( ..... but I got it off) That and 7 more lbs :) That is the most I have lost in one month this year :) So I am at 330lbs :) Shooting for 299 by Janurary 1st :)
Now making listes and plans for eating while on vacation.
I am NOT a planner and my weight shows it :(
But I AM making plans and lists....... for vacation
cause 5 years ago when we went on vacation back to Indy I had lost 60lbs from Apirl 04 to Aug 04 (for vacation, Did not eat any candy or icecream watched my food for them four months and exercised regulary) then when we went on vacation I gave myself permision to EAT whatever I wanted and I NEVER went back to eating right...... so this time on vacation I am planning and making lists so I dont fall into that hole again.......
So off to work soon and make my lists while I am there :)

Day TwentyNine of the Rest of My Life

Today was a ok day....... Got only a small bit of stuff done for vacation LOL
I am a last minuter no matter how much I try to NOT be LOL
Took MIL to doctor and to get more medicine and to the bank (2 hours of NOTHING) but that is ok she is taken care of so that is good :)
Got hotel in St Louis booked for next monday night YEAH
have Henry Ford Museum tickets bought (that is hubbys bday gift)
Have road trip mapped out. Should be at girlfriends house in Michigan by Tuesday afternoon HOPEFULLY !!!!!!!! Have camcorder ready and have camera ready with bateries and all cords
Need to start pickin out things to pack (outter clothes) NEED to do that tomorrow
But am getting it done little by little LOL DH says I will prolly still be packing Monday morning.... I say NO Way but LOL he is probably right
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cup shredded mini wheats
1/2 cup 2% milk
Lunch/Dinner was:
1 turkeyburger
1 whole wheat hamburger bun
1 small slice mozeralla cheese
2 slices tomatos
Water was 5 bottles
Snacks were:
2 mini boxes raisins
2 oz mozeralla cheese
Exercise well need to work on this.......and being honest here will not be doing any until we are on vacation (will be doing alot of walking then) and will buckle down to exercise when I get home :)
Tomorrow morning is our doctor/nutrionist weigh in :) hope it is good :)

DH got his appoinment changed to August 7th with WIA so that is good :)
We will be home on August 5th......so we can have a day to relax and put stuff up before work life happens again :)

Day TwentyEight of the Rest of My Life

Hey there Blogland !!!!!
It is a great day here in Central Texas YEAH!!!
Hey Bonnie in six sleeps and wakes ups and we will be on our way to vacation :)
YEAH!!! I still need to do a bit more shopping :) I have tomorrow off will take MIL to the doctors in the afternoon. Then I work Thursday through Sunday then bright and early Monday morning we will be on the road :) Bring it ON
DH found out some good news his unemployment will kick in this next two week period YEAH
and so far it looks like WIA will pay for him to be retrained, since he was laid off from the housing industry in Feburary when housing was not doing well .... The bad thing is he needs to be there to do more paper work for WIA on August 4th at 1:30..... well we were not gonna be back from vacation until late August 5th......so tomorrow we will see if we can change the day to either the 5th or 6th....if not then we WILL be home in time for him to go to that appointment :) God is great and has taken great care of my family and I at times when I didnt know where it was gonna come from or how we would get through it :)
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 serving mini shredded wheat
1/2 cup 2% milk
Lunch was:
1 boneless skinless chicken breast with ham stuffed in the middle of it (DH made this and it was SOOOOOO GOOD)
1/2 cup pasta salad
Dinner was:
1 veggie wrap
1 cup cottage cheese
1 lite fat free banana cream pie yoplait yogurt
1 fresh pear (MMM good)
Snacks were:
2 mini boxes raisins
6 bottles water
Still no exercise (grrrrrrrrrr)
But over all I think my food is starting to look better !!!!!!!!!

Day TwentySeven of the Rest of My Life

Ok was a so so day today. We go to the doctor/nutrionist on Thursday. I am hoping for more then a 2lb loss (2lb's is what I gained last month) so hoping for a good loss this time....... Need to stay on top of this :) Shooting to be under 300 by the first of next year (at 339 last month)
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cups shredded mini wheats
1/2 cup 2% milk
Lunch was
1 1/2 cup messy eggs (mushrooms,onions,peppers,hashbrowns,eggs,liquid egg whites,deli turkey)
NO CHEESE OR BISCUITS (that is a great improvement for me :)
Dinner was:
1 fresh pear
1 lite fat free banana cream yogurt
1 1/2 cup messy eggs (same thing as this morning)
1 cup cottage cheese
Snacks were:
1 mini box raisins
5 bottles water
No exercise

Day TwentySix of the Rest of My Life

It is Sunday already and I will be back to work tomorrow... But I have Wednesday off then Starting July 27th will be off on vacation for 11 days.... YEAH it is coming and soon we will be celebrating with family and friends back in the mid west :) My sister said it was 74 there today (she lives around Traverse City Michigan) I was like OYYY How I wish it was ONLY 74 here :)
Breakfast was:
Nothin (was running late for church and ran out the door)
Lunch was:
Footlong Subway Sub with LOTS of veggies :)
(I think I could eat a 6in sub from there EVERY day if I could only afford it )
Dinner was:
2 thin slices spam
2 thin slices mozeralla cheese
2 slices whole wheat bread
1 teaspoon reduced fat mayo w/olive oil
1 3x3 square of cheese sopapilla (spelling??)
6 Bottles water
No exercise :( Need to really get the exercise thing under control......

Yesterday started out as a great day off work and ended as a really cr$ppy day

Water was 6 bottles
Exercise was nothing
We went to a bbq at my SIL's they had chicken wings (I dont like chicken wings so had none)
Had a great time playing with nephews and a niece....

It's my weekend off YEAH !!!!!!!
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cup shredded wheat
1/2 cup 2% milk
Lunch/Dinner was:
1 veggie wrap (lettuce, tomato, mozeralla cheese on a tortilla)
1 serving french fries (not the good kind.....these were deep fried)
They actually tasted nasty in the end DONT think I will be eating these again anytime soon :)
Snacks were
2 bite size candies
4 small dinner mints
1 small 2 by 2 cream cheese sopollias (or something like that)
1/2 chocolate donut
6 bottles of water
36 minutes on the wii fit
I think I had way to many snacks today .........and NOT enough REAL food..... will keep working on this :)

Day TwentyThree of the Rest of My Life

Today was crazy..... did not get a whole lot done....actually didnt do more then eat, exercise and go to work. LOL
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cup multi grain cherrios
1/2 cup 2% milk
1 cup mixed cut up fresh fruit
Lunch was:
1 1/2 cup cottage cheese
2 deli slices sundried tomato turkey breast
20 reduced fat cheese nips
Dinner was:
2 cups hamburger helper (to much of this)
1 yoplait lite fat free yogurt
2 cups fresh mixed cut up fruit
Snacks were
2 fiber plus bars
Water was 6 (16.9oz) bottles
Exercise was 40 minutes on the wii fit (joggin in place twice for 3 minutes each :))) YEAH ME)
Think I am liking this exercising just a bit :) Hopefully it will stick around for awhile

Day TwentyTwo of the Rest of My Life

Hey there Everyone!!!! Hope this finds yall doing awesome and striving for a great healthy life :)
Today DH went to the Orthopedic Doctor and he is Released to go back to work....yeahhh
Now if unemployment will start giving back his unemployment cause he is able to take a job if offered ... Praying they will do that :)
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cup multigrain cherrios
1/2 cup 2% milk
Lunch was:
about 3 or 4 cups of salad (lettuce, kidney beans, gazabo beans, olives, mushrooms, tomatoes, small bit of shredded cheese, eggs)
1 serving 1000 island dressing
2 small squares of blueberry muffin cake
1 1/2 cups frozen vanilla yogurt
1 cup shrimp pasta
1 cup fetticine pasta
(we went to soupersalad for lunch after hubbys doctors appointment)
Dinner was:
4 spinach stuff shells (spinach and skim milk ricotta cheese stuff shells)
2 cups freshed cut up fruit (kiwi, pears, peaches, canaloupe, honeymelon)
Thank you Hubby for cuttin up all that fruit .....your awesome :)
Snacks were:
1 fiberplus bar

Water was 5 bottles
Exercise was 30 minutes on the wii fit YEAHHH
We went shopping and bought a few things for our vacation today..... will see how they look tomorrow..... I dont really buy alot of clothes, as most of my time is spent in scrubs for work or for school ...... so I have like 3 outfits that are REAL clothes LOL....(not sure I should be wearing scrubs for my vacation LOL)

Today was a pretty good day I think :)
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cups of multigrain cherrios
1/2 cup 2% milk
Lunch was:
4 cups salad (lettuce, tomato, onion,mushrooms, black olives)
1/4 cup shredded cheese
1 pack blue cheese single serving salad dressing
Dinner was:
1 turkey cheese sausage
1 cup 4% cottage cheese
2 cups salad
1 packet ranch
1 cup corn
Snacks were:
1 bite size candy
1 fiberplus bar
Water was 6 bottles
Exercise was 36 minutes on the wii fit (I did beginers running two times ) YEAH ME

I have tomorrow off work and will enjoy it LOL......
DH goes to the orthopedic doctor tomorrow to see if he can be released to go back to work (had knee surgery on June 22nd) .... and will buy a few things for vacation YES!!!!!!!

Day Twenty of the Rest of My Life

Two weeks and we will be on the road heading to Michigan. We have decided to go to Michigan visit with my bestfriend and her family. Have not seen her for 6 plus years (she was not home 5 years ago when we were back there) She has never seen my little guy face to face (only in pics) and all three of her kids will be home while Aunt Dawn is there :) Hers are 11, 19 and 22 ...... so I am stoked to see my extra niece and nephews while we are back there also. Then am thinking of surprising DH with a trip to the Ford Museum (it is about an hour and half from my daddys place) and DH bday is August 3rd.....He LOVES Fords and wants to REALLY go there but says we dont have the extra money..... so I think he will be greatly surprised !!! Then we will meet up at my brothers house in Indiana on Friday to set up and get ready for Grannys Big day.....on Saturday. I cant wait :)
Do you have that person in your life that is your strong hold, the wind beneath your wings (besides your DH or DW or children) Welp my Granny is Awesome...... She had my dad at 18 and back then you GOT married that was it...... then in 1975 she got me, my brother and sister. Our mom left decided she did not want any of our family including our father to see us and the court said NO you have to give them visitation...... so she decided if she couldnt have us to her self she did not and would not share.... My granny stepped up to the plate and took on a 3, 5, and 7 year old ...... And let me tell you at 7 years old and not understanding anything but that I was confused and hurting deep inside...... I gave Granny HELL ......for along time.....She said DONT and I DID she said DO and I DIDNT..... beyond just everyday rebellion ....... I put her to the test. And today I am proud to say I am the woman I am ....... because of HER. She Loved me through alot but more then that she LIKED me through even more....... Sometimes it was TOUGH LOVE, but all the time it was UNCONDITIONAL LOVE...... She was here when my little guy was born, she was on the phone for hours on end when we lost a baby in 2006. She was here when I found out I had cancer...... she dropped everything and got on the first plane she could cause I NEEDED her.... Needed to just have her close...... I am truly blessed to know her... she is an Angel.... and she is MY Granny !!!!!!!! I just cant wait to celebrate her 80th bday with her and how she will be so proud of the family she has held together, held up and is the head of :) Granny you ROCK
I am sooooooo ready for our trip ...... I told DH we will start packing next week. He was like dang why so early ........welp cause I only have off this Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and next Wednesday so next Wednesday I want everything but undies and shoes and shaving bags packed....... I want to leave bright and early on the 27th....... I dont want to be LOOKIN for something like we usually are ......even when we are just trying to get out the door for a cookout with his sister and her family......

Today I changed one thing.......and need to work on changing a few more LOL
but I am hypothyroid so I have to take my medicine one hour before I eat or 3 hours after I eat.....
So this morning when I got up (like 5 am) to use the restroom I TOOK my thyroid meds
So when I got back up at 7:30 I could eat breakfast...... I do believe I will continue to do this....then I will have time for breakfast........ I will be working on getting 30 minutes on the wii fit started within 30 minutes after I get up in the mornings.......if I get this done then I can get exercise out of the way before I get ready for work........ should work right........welp if I take some hints from Bonnie on NoMoreStinkingThinking and shut my tv off and limit my time to the computer.....I need to continue to CHOOSE ME

Exercise was zilch.....need to get a grip and start movin....no matter how stressed life is/can get

Well today did not go very good. Lots of stress. Lots of inlaw conflict. Lots of not good

1 regular size peppermint patty
1 fiberplus bar
Water was: 6 bottles
Exercise was Nothing unless I can count disagreeing with Hubby and inlaws as exercise :(

1/2 medium potato

Snacks were:

exercise was nothing
I went crazy with snacks when I got home...... it was a VERY stressful night last night... Lets just say inlaws and outlaws :(

Day Sixteen of the Rest of My Life

Hey there ......hope this finds you doing great and the world at your feet.
Breakfast was:
1 cup cherrios
1/4 cup 2% milk
Lunch was:
4 cups of salad (lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, one slice deli turkey)
2 packs 1000 island 1 pack fat free thousand island (was to much dressing)
20 cheese nip reduced fat chips
Dinner was:
1 cup fajita chicken (hubby made last night)
1 1/2 cup rice with corn
1 blueberry lite fat free yogurt
Snacks were:
2 cups mixed fresh fruit
3 tablespoons lite cool whip
2 bite size candies

6 bottles of water
35 minutes on the wii fit :)

Today I think was pretty good!! What do you think???

Thankful & Focus

Have you gotten to the place where you know what to do and you know what your doing is NOT working? Have you gotten to the place where if things DONT change and now then you know they probably wont change? I woke up this morning with a feeling deep in my being. I have been playing with my weight. Losing a few pounds one month just to gain it back the next month. As of two weeks ago at the doctors office I have lost and kept off a total of 4 pounds. JUST 4 pounds the rest I have lost and regained and lost and regained again. I know I have medical problems and the extra weight just adds to it so one would think I would break through this crap and get this weight off right?? At the doctors I weighed 339lbs ...... I have peaked at the scale and seen numbers being 332.4 which is great (that was a few days ago) this morning it was 335.1 and I am asking myself what the HELLO am I doing..... Am I scared to get below the 330 mark?? What is holding me in limbo?? Why am I doing this to myself?? Five years ago when we went home to visit I was down to 260 ........ now I am a big fat hog again ...... my family knows I have put weight back on (they are not small people either) but why cant I seem to mentally break this 330 mark??? Why have I been playing all year this far back and forth gain and lose the same weight?? I am going to start using fitday again starting today. I need to be honest and get my veggies and fruit in.......need to cut the carbs (Bread, pasta) I eat way to much of this
I am not a planning kinda person and I need to have a plan to lose this and keep it off. I need to work through the feelings of why I emotionally eat and why I stop and start over and over.
So I am focusing on what I eat, my moving my body but more then that I am focusing on getting ME back. Taking me Back one step, one meal, one attitude at a time ......... Today IS the day ....
If you have any feed back on anything for me please feel free to post it !!!!!
If you have any suggestions how I may do something different and get better results.... post it!!!!!! If you need to tell me to get real ....post it!!!! I need to hear these things and get out of my protective bubble.

I read NoMoreStinkingThinking and LOVE her blog ...... every Thursday she post things she is thankful for ....... and it got me to thinking "what am I thankful for"
So hear goes:
1) My health..... I need to lose weight. But I am thankful for being alive, surviving cancer and having joy in my heart.
2) My hubby ....... he is awesome....... he cooks, cleans, works, and loves our son and I
3) My little guy..... there is days I would not make it through if not for his smile, his laughter, him
4) My job..... I can honestly say I "love" my job
5) My relationship with God ........ he has carried me through so many things
6) My sister and brother...... we are always there for each no matter what.... no judgeing ........no questions.... when the world goes out they are there always :)
7) My best friend Connie...... met her end of my junior year of High School (way back in 1985)
8) bloggin and online friends ..... inspirational and encouraging awesome people

Day Fifteen of the Rest of My Life

Hey there Blogland!!!
Have you ever woke up just happy to be alive?? Truly excited to wake up and have the day meet you, with the sun stretching out warming the day, the sky so nice and blue. Today I was actually excited to get up and be alive. Ok most days I am excited but LOL today just "felt" great if you know what I mean. We all took MIL to her doctors appointment and then we went to the park for a bit of swinging and soccer and let me tell you my little guy can RUN. I was like OK OK kick it back to mommy now and he kept saying come get me come get me and laughin the whole time...... I was a good day. Tonight we went to Water night at church.... and that was fun. Little Guy got to hang out with kids from childrens church...... I got to really relax and just watch as he played and enjoyed the HOT Texas evening on the waterslide and such... He even got his daddy to go sliding down the water slide (wet slide flat on the ground) with him.... they both thought that was great :) So today was a awesome day :)
Breakfast was:
1 cup cherrios
a bit of 2% milk
1 cup fresh fruit
Lunch was:
2 cups beans (15 bean soup hubby made yesterday)
2 slices cornbread
Dinner was:
2 chicken fajitas (hubby made homemade yummy)
with 1/4 cup shredded cheese between both of them
2 tablespoons sourcream (1 each)
Snacks were:
3 oatmeal cookies
Water was 5 bottles
Exercise was running and playing at the park counting 30 minutes of the hour we were there.

I am thinking about trying fitday (have used it for a short time once before) I think it will help me get in sight exactly how much I am eating and where I am lacking ......
I am not a good planner or very organized as you can see but I need to get that way some how to get this weight off and to be healthier over all :)

Day Fourteen of the Rest of My Life

Hey there !!!!
Life is good but VERY sleepy today :)
I was up and at work at 10am this morning........ two girls called in on day shift (they called in on my shift on monday night) so I decided to volunteer to come in early if need be...and need was there ...... I can say I truly "love" my job ......so going to work now and then for a little Overtime is good :) but man am I a sleepy girl....... worked 11 1/2 hours :( the check will look great though :) LOL
My boy was saying "mommy I will help daddy today while your working all day" "I will make sure we do the WHOLE house (spreading his arms wide and eyes big when he said WHOLE) it was soooo cute :) Tomorrow I am off and need to take my MIL to the doctors she is havin her Creatine/BUN leave check (how well her kidneys are functioning) then Hubby, little guy and I are off to the park to just play a bit..... and tomorrow night at church they are havin "water" night... so we will go to that....(watermelon, waterslides, waterguns and fun is what it will be)
School clothes shoppin for my little guy will start soon ..... he is not in need of much as I buy as needed and mmmmmmm lots of cousins to get hand me downs from LOL

Dinner was:
1 veggie wrap
1 1/2 cup fruit salad (hubby cut up for me yesterday :),,,kiwi, peaches, canolope, grapes all FRESH mmmmmm good
1 cup 4% cottage cheese
Snacks were:
1 kashi bar
water was 5 bottles (16.9oz)
exercise was.......... 1 1/2 hour extra walking around the hospital (up and beyond what I usually do..... having came in 3 1/2 hours early..... will count 1 1/2 hours for exercise)

Day Thirteen of the Rest of My Life

Life is good and healthy :)

Left over breakfast
1 cup messy eggs (my little guy LOVES these)
2 biscuits
Dinner was:
1 veggie wrap (tomato, lettuce, mozzeralla cheese)
1 cup 4% cottage cheese
4 servings mixed fruit in natural juices
Snacks were:
2 oatmeal cookies
Water was 5 bottles
exercise was 30 minutes on wii fit

Life is good and rollin on
My sweet lovin hubby cut up canolope, kiwi, peaches and grapes for me so we will be havin fresh fruit and not jar fruit :) He is awesome huh :)
He also did 2 loads of laundry and cooked a pot of 15 beans for tomorrows dinner :) Think I will keep him around for a few more years :)

Day Twelve of the Rest of My Life

Hey there Blogworld !!!! Hope this finds yall havin had a great holiday weekend :) And a healthy one also :)
Tomorrow is back to work :( for two days then a day off then six days on :(
Soon in will be time to go on vacation back to the midwest though :) YEAHH 3 weeks from tomorrow to be exact :) YES
Today was a good day ..... a uplifting day
Started out with church this morning :) My DH was saved....... I have been praying for this for awhile now........ for him to be open enough to hear God and to know God in his own way :)
My heart was so uplifted to see him recieve all that God is :) It will be trying and new as he builds on his relationship with our Heavenly Father ...
After church (the 1st sundays of each month) we had lunch with his mom at her apartment. The past months we have been eating Long John Silvers as that is my MIL favorite.....but with her health problems and our own need to eat healthier we decided to surprise her with Subway !!!!!!!!! My little guy loves our time there where it is only him and grandma (no cousins to share or mmmmm fight with) and to be honest my MIL seems to do better with all her grandkids ONE on ONE .....
So
Breakfast/Lunch was
6 inch spicy italian sub on wheat with lite mayo and lots of tomatos, pickles, lettuce, olives
Dinner was:
2 turkey hot dogs with buns
1 cup potato salad

72oz of water
no exercise...... unless I can count praisen the Lord exercise :)
But it was a good God filled day

OK late once again but the 4th of July was a great day in Central Texas
Breakfast was:
1 cup cherrios
1/2 cup 2% milk

2 turkey hotdogs bun and all
2 cups potato salad (hubby made)
Water was 6 bottles
exercise was nothing
Went to see "My Sisters Keeper" Loved the movie
ate a small popcorn and a box of skittles :)
The day was good .......not great but good

Yesterday July 3rd

Welp yesterday came and went and I did not post :(
Life is a bit crazy....... I couldnt wait to have a long weekend off work and yesterday I had wished I was working .... told you it was crazy LOL

1 cup cottage chesse
6 servings mixed fruit in natural juices
Dinner was:
3 cups chilli
1/2 pack crackers (Way to many crackers)

Did grocery shoppin yesterday got some fresh veggies and fruit
So ready for vacation and just being with my extended family

Day Ten of the Rest of My Life

Hey there Blogland!!!
Crazy thing...... I just came here to post for today and see that I DIDNT post yesterday. Food yesterday was good but LOL I have NO idea why I did not post . I remember reading blogs last night... maybe things are running together . School will be over on Monday until the end of August any ways :) Thank goodness too LOL...... I am sooooooo ready to get this math class over. I am getting a C+ but will be taking it again in the fall semester so I can get a better understanding of this math :) Hipp Hipp Horray LOL
I am off for a long 3 day weekend now YEAH ME !!!!!! Will be helping hubby with some studying for his CDL licenses ......he has decided to get a CDL license and get into that and I am all for it :)
Also will be studying for the final on Monday and will be playing with my little guy. I have missed him sooooooo ... think we will be at the park this weekend may even go to the waterpark in town :)
Breakfast/Lunch was:
2 cups 2% mac an cheese with turkey burger, tomatoes, and corn
Dinner was:
1 cup 4% cottage cheese
1 veggie wrap (MMMMM GOOD)
1 cup zuccini (LOVE IT)
Snacks were:
1 fiber bar

exercise was 30 minutes on wii fit :)

I am getting excited about vacation time :) My granny and great uncle (her only living brother) will be here on July 22nd ........ then hopefully (if my work schedule is good to me) we will leave driving heading for Franklin (just outside of Indianapolis) Indiana on Monday July 27th.
I am sooooooo stoked to be going :) YEAH
My brother in law stays with us and he will be here while we are gone to hold down the house :)

Day Eight of the Rest of My Life

Hey there Blogland!!! Hope this finds all doing fabulous :)
Today I woke up with a "funk" feeling just out and out .......tired, drained, yuk feeling. You ever woke up like that? Not sure if it is the getting up at 6:30 am for an 8 am class or the going to bed at midnight (staying up to study and get ready for test on thursday and final next monday)
But have been in a bit of a funk most of the day .... :(
Breakfast/Lunch was:
2 cups 2% mac & cheese with turkey burger, and rotel tomatoes, corn, and mushrooms
1/2 cup lowfat icecream
Dinner was:
2 cups salad
15 thin tortilla chips
2 tablesppons spinach dip
1 slice strawberry cheese cake
(we had June birthdays dinner at work tonight, I dont think I did too bad compared to what I use to do on birthday dinners)
water was 6 bottles of water
exercise was nothing......
I am off for a LONG 3 day weekend this weekend YEAHHHHHH
and the end of the month will be on vacation for 9 days!!!!!! Cant wait as we will be visiting my family back in the mid west :)

Day Seven of the Rest of My Life

Day Seven already :) One week done one week journaled one week seeing things wrote down once again....... I week to reflect and try and change things one thing at a time for a better healthier life :)
Breakfast was:
2 fiber plus bars
Lunch was:
3 slices pizza (turkey pepporoni, turkey sausage, 2% cheese and mushrooms)
Dinner was:
2 cups rice with brocolli, cauliflower and carotts
2 cups low fat ice cream
Water 6 bottles
30 minutes on the wii fit

Hubby went to Orthopedic Doctors today and we go back on the 15th. The doctor said his knee looks good and to not over work it but to use it ...... told him he can use a bike (exercise or regular) to get some exercise and strengthen the leg back up. So all really good things :) YEAHH
Now on to the next week of my great life :)

Day Six of the Rest of My Life

Already Day 6 .... Awesome almost a week into LIFE :)
I got to spend 2 hours (Again) with my mother-in-law at the doctors for her :(
Her kidney function is not doing good (no dyalisis YET) but her creatine was 2.3 (normal is 0.4-1.2) He uric acid was a 9 which is HIGH ........ she is border line diabetic and lets just say she was not against me being in the room with her at the doctors but mmmmmm she was NOT happy either :( But now we know where she stands medically (she doesnt understand some medical stuff and does NOT ask questions) and I will be taking her back to the doctor next wednesday to check her creatine level again...... they checked it today again also .....
So spending 2 hours at the doctors with her then taking her to the bank then coming home grabing some food and running off to work .... work was VERY busy today also (think docs are getting in alot of stuff before the holiday weekend) so food was not that great but I am here being accountable so that is good
Breakfast/Lunch was:
2 turkey hotdogs
20 french frys baked
2 cups peanutbutter ice cream
Dinner was:
1 1/2 cup popcorn shrimp
1 cup cottage cheese
4 servings mixed fruit in natural juices
Snacks were:
2 bite size butterfinger candies
1 bite size reeses peanutbutter cup

water was 6 bottles
and 30 minutes on the wii fit again YEAH ME

Day Four of The Rest of My Life

Hey there!!!! hope this finds everyone doing awesome and life is going great for yall :)

Today is Day Four of The Rest of My Life :) Life is good and fabulous :) I have probably already told this story but just want to share again what the word fabulous means to me .....

This September will be 2 years ago that I went through radiation treatment for uterine cancer. And the ladies at the oncology center are awesome..... I was crying and havin a pity party for myself from day one of radiation treatment.... I did not understand that cancer happens everyday to everyone NOT just me (ok ok well I understood good enough but I could not connect with WHY ME WHY now..... why why why) the ladies that marked me and gave me radiation (3 of them plus the doctors nurse) would ALWAYS ask "How are you today" so from day one I just said FABULOUS..... fabulous when I came in and fabulous when I left..... and I was fabulous in the first two or three weeks for radiation monday through friday .... I was alive and cancer free and did not have to have chemo...so I was fabulous... By the forth week (six weeks in total) I was still fabulous but my belly was starting to be burned from the radiation..... and my skin was starting to get tender, by week five it HURT to use the bathroom.... it hurt to sit in any position...... I was taxed big time by fridays and fatigue had set in pretty hard but everyday I was FABULOUS and told them so........ by weeks five and six they would even say they were fabulous when I asked them how they were.... when I finished my treatments them ladies bought me a bottle of FAB laundry soap made a FAB-U-LOUS poster for the front of it and signed it with great inspiration. So everyday I am strugglin with this weight loss and with life in general I remember I AM FABULOUS ...... I am everything I can be I just need to dig deep and GET it ....... have you ever thought about a word that has gotten you through a hard time?? Have you ever told yourself that YOUR Fabulous?? Have you ever LET yourself JUST BE fabulous?? Go ahead give it a try ....... just for today just for now...... say I am fabulous and believe it :) I dare you :)



Breakfast was:

3 biscuits

Lunch was:

1 turkey burger/fat free refried beans/ 2% cheese and salsa burritto

1 serving junior pepperments :)

Dinner was:

1 veggie wrap (lettuce, tomato, mozeralla cheese)

1 very very small slice 2 by 1 chocolate cake

Water was....... 6 bottles :)

exercise is NOTHING

I need to get off my mmmmmm and get movin again
I am a big carb addict and really need to get ahold of this issue

Day Two of the Rest of My Life

Hey there Blogland......can you believe 6 months from today (the 25th) is Christmas :)
Christmas is my favorite time of the year....well honestly from Halloween through New Years ROCKS.... But Christmas, the birth of Christ, the church programs and everything LOVE IT :)
This also means though that in one week it will be 6 months left of this year......How will you make the rest of this year count??? What will you do different??
We went to the nutritionist/doctors appointment today ..... and you will never guess this I gained two pounds GRRRRRRRRRR..... Dr. had a LONG straight forward talk with me BIG time..... see either the end of last year or first of this year I had a echo done on my heart..... my left ventricle is mildly enlarged a bit thickened......and my tricuspid valve only has a bicuspid (it is a inhearited deformity .....) Lucky me huh .... well any ways I have lost and kept off a total of 4lbs this year (since Janurary) the other weight I have put on then lost the next month GGGGGRRRR But Doc basically told me...... Dawn you work in the medical field and you know things about your body and how it works....... so loose weight or go into CHF early ....... take your pick....... and he told me he knows I can do it but he is NOT holding his breath to see much of a loss next month ... he said it will probably be two pounds .....
That got me thinking abit all day ...... God has brought me through cancer (I had mixed mullerian sarcoma uterine cancer in August of 2007) and he does not want me to die from heart problems..... so I am the only one that can fix this ..... either I need to get real about it and deal with all that comes with it or I need to start explaining to my 5 year old why his mommy wont be here when he is graduating from high school or college or getting married ...... I dont think I want to do that ..... I want to LIVE ...... to enjoy life and STRIVE

So here we are on Day Two of the Rest of My Life

Breakfast was nothing (had to weigh in at 11am and did not want to have the extra food in there)
Lunch was:
2 cups chicken spaghetti
Dinner was:
15 pieces corn nuggets
1 1/2 cups popcorn shrimp
1 cup 4% cottage cheese
Snacks were:
2 fiber plus bars
Water was 6 bottles (16.9oz)
exercise is zero

Tomorrow will be a BUSY day as my mother in law (gotta love her) needs to go to a renal (kidney) specialist as she is in the starts of Renal failure (they think do to her blood work yesterday) and I am the lucky one that gets to take her to yet another doctor .....then I have to work for the next four days .... wish me luck on this doctors appointment with her..... I want to go in with her so I can help her understand what is going on but not sure she will let me go in :(

Day One of the Rest of My Life

Have you ever been stuck?? Just cant seem to move even though you know what to do and how to do it. Have you ever wanted something so much but kept failing at getting it right?? Have you ever thought to yourself that it is "more" then weight that you need to deal with and that is what you keep running from?? That if you dug deep and dealt with the matters laying beyond the fat that you would actually stop failing?? Well I am on Day One of the Rest of My Life..... I need to dig deep and deal with the whys and the woos
Today I thought I was gonna go nuts. See I am one of the lucky people that has in-laws (mother in law especially) that dont really like me :( and I got to take my mother in law to the doctors today...... I dropped her off and told her to call me when she was ready to go...figuring ok maybe 45 minutes tops right ?? LOL NOT more like 1 1/2 hours later she was done. But when I dropped her off I went to the park near by and walked 1.5 miles..... was trying for 2 miles and could have done it but the temp was already up to 96F and I have no idea how high the heat index was..... but after 1.5 miles I was feeling drained, sucked up of my energy...... I believe this was more from the heat then it was the walking itself...... So I made it back to the doctors office and sat for a 1/2 hour for my mother in law to finish with her appoinment. She has to go back next monday and LOL did not even ask me what my schedule was just said 1pm is good ...I was like mmmmm is one of your daughters bringing you ...cause I leave at 1pm for work.... she was like well I thought you could change your day off..... WHAT HELL NO change your appointment (I did not tell her HELL NO but believe me I wanted too) any ways now I have to take her on monday at 10:30 .... grrrrrrr then we stopped by my house she said she wanted to see my hubby and see how he was feeling since he had surgery monday and she has not even bothered to call and see how it went :( Well she came in and my boy was trying to talk to her but all she was doing was looking around my living room and kitchen to see how I keep house :( .... I got hubby his medicine and made him a sandwhich and got my son some lunch (it is noon by now) on our way out the door I asked Mother in law did you see his knee and she said oh well I will look at it next time..... I need you to take me to get my hair cut and get my medicine filled. GRRRRRRRR I was just gonna drop her off at her apartment and come home and relax.....but being the nice person I am I took her to do what she needed and thank goodness when at 2 pm I could FINALLY drop her off at home and come home to relax and enjoy a bit of my day off. But I did get a 1.5 mile walk out of all this LOL
my food has been crude today
water has been great 6 bottles :)
and I am ready to rock tomorrow and get my eating back under control
So if you have read this far sorry about complaining and thanks for reading

Life and such

Hello Blogland!!
It has been awhile since I have been here :(
Life is trying this past month. Not that it is not always trying but these past three weeks have been crazy trying times :(
Hubby had outpatient knee surgery yesterday morning. He tore his acl and medial meniscus on May 25th. Well the Orthopedic doctor told me yesterday (after surgery) that the meniscus tear was much worse then he first thought it to be. It was tore and flipped over on itself. So that ment they need to take out more of the meniscus then first thought :( Hubby is 36 (almost 37) and has a knee of a 50 year old. Doctor said he MUST lose weight to push a knee replacement surgery off longer then a year or two. We go back next tuesday to have the stitches taken out. He will be off work for up to 6 more weeks. Gotta love this part..... Unemployment first said he was eligable for unemployment payments still and released 444 dollars to him then two days later (last friday) they decided he is NOT eligable for unemployment until he is NOT under doctors care. So now we have to pay back the 444 dollars and we will be livin on one income for atleast 6 to 8 more weeks, cause it will take unemployment a few weeks to get back on track then he will be out looking for another job :( When oh when does all this stop and we can go back to some kinda normal :o)
As for my food it is OFF
water is good
exercise is OFF
I need to get back on track and just do this......work through the stress and Keep On Keepin On
So today is a new day a new attitude and a new start
I need to get back to bloggin every day...... checkin in with my email group and get focused on ME once again. I need to stop the slips and start staying going forward. Losing weight and gaining myself is worth so much more then givin in and givin up

1 smoked turkey sausage link
wrapped in 2 flour tortillas

Dinner was:
1 1/2 cup tuna noodles mixed with rice and corn
20 french frys (the NOT so good ones cooked in oil and not baked :( )

Snacks were:
1 slice pepporoni pizza
2 serving fruit
15 mms peanut

6 bottles water

need to go grocery shoppin in the morning.....in need of veggies big time

Tomorrow is NO School (no summer classes on fridays WOOHOO)

Stuck

Confused, stuck, struggling

It has been crazy with school starting for me, hubby needed knee surgery, brother in law moving in, and I Have stopped.... it is almost like the end of May came and I told myself ok we are gonna keep loggin the food in June too.....but I did not ....... I stopped and am stuck
On my way to bed it is 11 and 6 am will be here soon so I can start all over again UGHHH
I will find my focus again and soon

Stuck in a Funk

Well I am there.... stuck and trying to grab hold and focus to climb out of the funk

I am still feeling under the weather......Nose is red and dry and stuffed up
chest is clogged and rattling......head is NOT in it ....just hurting a bit
Tomorrow I am off work and will study for class on Monday after I get home from Church
Monday hubby goes to Orthapedic doctor to see when/if he is gonna need surgery for his acl and medial meniscus tears... He is on cruches and drivin me nuts since he is not able to work
Both of us are worrying they will cut his unemployment off do the this injury and it taking 3 to 4 months to heal ...... so that is stressin big time......
But God will get us through this to I am sure

June 1st

Hey there Blogworld!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I know BORING titles again this month :( Sorry
Life has been SO busy today. First day of Summer 1 class I am taking a remedial algerbra class to get me ready for College Algerbra in the fall YIPPY. I usually like math but this dang teacher started in the middle of the book mmmmm chapter 6. OK OK I know this is a summer class only 5 weeks of school (4 days a week) but come on atleast give us the first 5 chapters the first 2 days of class (so we can get a refresher...... no instead you are slammed with a problem like this (3x+1/3)(9x-1/3) then a problem like this 2y to the 2nd power + 27y +25..... the whole class >ten people< were like what the HELLO ) so mmmm starting at the first chapter for a fast refresher may have been better LOL I am a bit stuck on the last half of my homework and it is ONLY day 1...... can I really do this??? HECK yeah "I CAN" with many prayers and lots of studying that is ...........
Then I get a call into the doctors office to find out about hubbys MRI on friday...... get a call back at 1:45 (he is suppose to be at work today at 4pm) Dr. says NO work........ he has a toren acl and medial meniscus ....... mmmmmmmm great so I ate crow and told him sorry for being a witch this last week and telling him he was a whinning baby :( So we will be going to a orthapedic doctor next monday great......thank goodness I have great insurance through my work. Took his no work this week paper to his work (walmart) from the doctor.......he has only worked there since March 18th ...... due to being laid off from the new housing place he worked at fixin new houses......On Feburary 13th...so he was working part time at wally land and getting his unemployment....... but well wallworld told him he HAS to take a volunteer termination due to medical reasons..... He has not been there long enough for FMLA ..... So now I am wondering how this will effect his unemployment checks :(( :(( OK what is next..... bring it on...... I can take some more.....that is how I have felt all day .........crude crude crude....... Needing alot of prayers and good thoughts sent up to make it through .......

May 31st

Hello Blogland...... It is the END of May here in Central Texas and I have made my May goal of bloggin my food, water and exercise everyday this month !!! Yeah for ME !!!!
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cup messy eggs (hashbrowns, peppers, onions, mushrooms, eggs and liquid egg whites)
2 turkey sausage links
Lunch was:
1 cup banana pudding
2 slices deli turkey meat
1 slice 2% cheese
Dinner was:
3 pieces fish (the not good kind ..... great value fish fillets breaded)
1 cup french frys baked
2 teaspoons reduced fat Mayo w/olive oil
Snack was:
1 cup low fat cookies and cream ice cream

water was 6 bottles of water
exercise was 30 minutes on the treadmill :)

Now on to June :) Bring It On !!!!
my personal goals to add to boggin every day for the month of June are:
1) veggies :)
2) fruit :)
3) mix up my work outs add some different things :)

May 30th

Dang tomorrow is already the end of May...... and I have blogged my food every day :) Yeah Me!!!
Today was a bit crazy around my house..... I went grocery shopping this morning filled up with fruit in natural juice and veggies. I am a lazy cook LOL so I buy alot of steam fresh veggies :) I buy mushrooms, lettuce, onions (all of them already chopped up) tomatoes fresh ..... See told ya I was a lazy cook. Most days to be honest I need things that are fast and that can cook/microwave while I am working out or getting ready for work. And now with school start again on Monday well lets just say Thanks for steam fresh and boneless skinless chicken breast I can through in the oven LOL....or crockpot :) But anyways I am ready for the first week of June and the first week of Angs summer challenge so BRING IT ON !!!!
Breakfast was:
2 grands biscuits
1 cup country gravy
Lunch was:
1 veggie wrap
1 single serving pack fig bars (2 bars)
Dinner was:
1 buritto (turkeyburger, fat free refried beans, 2% cheese, tomatoes)

5 bottles of water
No exercise ......not happy about this but will get it fixed tomorrow :)

This one is short and sweet (it is already Saturday morning 12:23am here LOL)
Breakfast was:
1 kashi bar
2 servings mixed fruit in natural juice
Lunch was:
2 slices whole wheat bread
2 slices 2% american cheese
1 peppermint patty candy regualar size
Dinner was:
1 1/2 cup rice, corn, tomatoes, green peppers and onions mixed together
4 servings mixed fruit in natural juice
1/2 small baked chicken breast

water was 5 bottles
exercise was wii fit step aerobics

I start school Monday (a math class) and LOL I have NOT bought my book yet. Class starts at 8 am so I will NOT be getting it until after the first day ..........GRRRRRRRR But it will be a good monday LOL

May 28th

Hey there Blogland!!!
Life is good and I am happy to report I did make May count!!! Yeah Me
went to our nutritionist/doctor appointment this morning at 11 am
I lost the 4lbs I gained last month so am back to 337. I could have lost more but I will take the 4lbs and being back at the same place I was 2 months ago is OK cause I have learned a few things the month of May. I have learnt even though I need to work on my food intake ALOT more ......Journaling is helping me 100% and then some. I have learnt I can do anything I set my mind too ...... including NOT eating all of something..... Knowing that tomorrow I will wake up again and I will be able to have more then if I want........ I have learnt I DONT need to turn to food for comfort....... I will continue to work not turning to food for comfort as I walk in to June with my head high and the light in my eyes :) I have learnt I AM worth it all ..... God loves me and I LOVE me :)
Hubby weighed in losing 2lbs (320 now) so that is cool
He will also be going for a MRI on his knee (just to make sure there is NO pulled ligaments or tendons) on Saturday at 4pm..... he is suppose to go back to work on Monday (thank you) but we shall see what the MRI says first ........ Thank goodness I work at a hospital and have great insurance ...... MRI should be free as long as it is done at my hospital (only have to pay 20% for the doctor that reads it) But let me tell you Hubby is a BIG baby ..... wait on me for this do that for me...... LOL but when I was at work tonight he steam cleaned our front bedroom (MMM how did he do this on cruches ??? that is why I dont think it is any more then a sprain cause when he wants to he can stand with out cruches but when he wants to be a baby he whines he needs the cruches LOL MEN)
any way on to the food for today
Breakfast was:
Nothing (did not eat before weighin in at doctors)
Lunch was:
1 banana
1 turkey burger taco
Dinner was:
1 veggie wrap (lots of lettuce, tomato, mushrooms a bit of mozeralla cheese and ranch)
1 cup cherries
1/2 cup sliced apples
2 tablespoon coolwhip

water was 5 16.9oz bottles
exercise was nothing :(

I will be working on breakfast, veggies, fruits and changing up some of my exercise for the month of June :) I also will continue to bore yall with my food journal blogs everyday in June as it really seems to help me be more accountable with it all :)

Hey there Blogland!!
Hope this finds the sun in your face and the wind to your back
Today was crazy.... I was off work but had to take hubby to the MEC (minor care emergancy) cause he has a sprained knee. MEN why on earth he could not just wait and get it looked at when we go to the doctors in the morning. But no he had to go TODAY so off to the hospital we went :(
His knee is only sprained and he will be off work until Monday. I could have told him all that LOL
Breakfast was:
Nothing setting at the hospital
Lunch was:
deli turkey sandwich on whole wheat with reduced fat mayo w/olive oil
20 fat reduced ruffles chips
Dinner was:
1 1/2 cup spagetti (whole wheat pasta with turkey burger)
2 servings mixed fruit in natural fruit juice

water is 5 bottles
exercise was 30 minutes on wii fit (son napping and hubby resting THANK YOU)
30 minutes of playing at the park with my little guy...... running, kicking the ball, swinging, just havin fun)

May 26th

Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday and it is almost over :(
I am off work tomorrow (Thank You) Tonight was a hard night at work. I wish I had a pedometer I bet I walked atleast 10000 steps just at work alone. I was on the floor for 2 1/2 hours straight going from room to room floor to floor patient to patient and drawing blood. I actually left with 6 sticks to get and was paged for another 9 sticks while I was on the floor ...... Lets just say VERY busy. So I am so glad tomorrow is just me and my men day :)
Breakfast was:
1 1/2 cup raisin bran crunch
1/2 cup 2% milk
8oz trop 50 oj
(can you believe I actually ate breakfast YEAH ME)
Lunch was:
2 servings mixed fruit in natural juice
3oz of turkey smoked sausage
1 slice 2% cheddar cheese slice
Dinner was:
1 lean pocket (chicken mushroom spinach)
4 servings mixed fruit n natural juice
1 serving microwave kraft mac n cheese
Snacks were:
2 mini bite size snickers

6 bottles of water
30 minutes on the wii fit

May 25th

Hey there Blogland!!!!!!!!
Can you believe this is the last week of May .... only 7 months until christmas :) Christmas is my favorite holiday I love the lights the decorations I love the story of Christs birth but I miss the snow.....living in central Texas at christmas is not good if you want a white christmas :) I have been here for 6 years and this year I want so much to go home where snow is up to your knees or farther :) where my little guy can build a real snowman, go sleddin, have snow ball fights or snowmobiling ..... OK OK I will shhhushh up about snow and winter figuring most of the world would LOVE to have summer first :) LOL
Breakfast/Lunch was:
2 slices whole wheat bread
1/4 cup tuna (made with reduced fat mayo w/olive oil, and tomatoes)
20 cheddar crackers
2 servings mixed fruit in natural juice
Dinner was:
1 slice sausage pizza
1 slice pepporoni pizza
2 cheese sticks

2 kashi bars

May 24th

Hey there Blogland !!!!
Tomorrow is Memorial day here in the states .... so Lots of bbq's and family get togethers this weekend :)
We went to hubbys brothers and had a BBQ with everyone (his 2 brothers, 2 sisters their others and children, his mum, and a few friends)
So how did today go for me eating wise ????? MMMMMMM
Breakfast was:
2 biscuits
3 turkey sausage links
8oz trop 50 (Ang has me addicted to this)
Lunch/Dinner was:
BBQ I ate 3 turkey hotdogs (the only meat I like on a grill LOL)
1 hotdog bun (ate the other 2 bunless)
5 tablespoons layered dip (sourcream, refried beans, tomato, onion,avacado,cheese)
2 handfuls tortilla chips
1 slice cheesecake
6 bottles water (had NO beer or other drinks)
exercise today was playin volleyball and swimmin
So maybe not real good but on the other hand there was alot of food I could have eaten but choose not too........ I passed on icecream, candy, cherry cobbler, pasta salad, potato salad.
I am in hopes that I am actually getting to a place where I can eat with out having to eat it all .....If that makes sense??? And I dont have to have candy and icecream I can actually go without.........

Oh what a Saturday a rainy one LOL

Breakfast was:
Slept through ........ much needed sleep and little guy was sleeping so I did also :)
Lunch was:
1 chicken cordon blue (with mozeralla cheese)
20 french fries (baked not fried)
2 servings mixed fruit in natural juices
Dinner was:
1 1/2 cup pasta, mushrooms and lots of chix peas (the end of this for now LOL)
1 cup broccoli
2 servings mixed fruit in natural juices
Snacks were:
1 pepermint pattie candy regular size (my favorite candy yummy)
10 bbq pork rinds

5 bottles of water
no exercise ....... lame excuse but due to having to grocery shop and work all after sleeping in this morning :(

Today is my nephew Justins 24th birthday (OY am I OLD)

1 1/2 cup pasta, mushrooms, chix peas (lots of these :))
2 servings mixed fruit in natural juice
Dinner was:
1 veggie wrap (lettuce, tomato, spinach and mozeralla cheese in a tortilla)
1 cup pasta, mushrooms, chix peas
Snacks were:
10 peanut m&ms
1 frosted sugar cookie
1 mini box of raisins

5 bottles of water
30 minutes on the wii fit (did this boxing one for 20 minutes today and 10 minutes of free style step aerobics)

Hey there Blogland!! Hope this finds yall doing great......
This is the end of the 3rd week of May :)
Were oh were does time go ??
June 1st I will be starting back to the community college. I have 4 semesters to finish up my Respiratory degree :) June 1st to July 6th I will be taking a remedial algerbra class to get me ready for college algerbra in the fall :) OOOYYY what fun this will be LOL.... actually I "like" math LOL.... I am hoping with starting back to school I will be back to eating breakfast on a regular bases ?? Lets pray for that one :)
Breakfast/Lunch was:
2 slices whole grain bread
1/3 cup turkey burger sloppy joe
20 french fries (baked in the oven)
Dinner was:
2 slices whole grain bread
1/3 cup turkey burger sloppy joe
1 scoop strawberry ice cream
1/2 scoop vanilla ice cream
cherries on top with a bit of peanuts
(No chocolate topping or coolwhip)
Snacks were:
2 cups popcorn
1 chex mix bar

water was: 6 bottles
exercise was: 30 minutes step aerobics on the wii fit :)
I LOVE the step aerobics on wii fit LOVE IT

For the month of May I was working on trying to eat right :) But mainly on journalling my food and water in take as well as my exercise .....
So for June (since it will be on top of us shortly) I will challenge myself to keep journalling as well as really making a honest try to get in more veggies and fruits !!!

Life is slowly getting back to normal now...... My daddy and step mom left around 11 this morning heading towards Indiana and my brothers place :)
But eating was way off again........ I NEED to get back to the basics now and get back to normal

1 slice sausage pizza
2 small brownies
Dinner was:
1 cup cauliflower/broccoli
1 light fat free strawberry orange sunrise yoplait yogurt
1 slice deli ham

Snacks were:
4 nobake cookies (NO More of these in the house YEAH)
1 mini box raisins

30 minutes step aerobics advanced on wii fit :))

May 17th

Good Sunday Blogland!!!
Today was a crazy "off" day
Food was NO good, Exercise was Nothing, Water was on but that was the only thing that was on.
Breakfast was:
1 peanutbutter nobake cookie
Lunch was:
chinese food at the resturant
I had 1 plate of shrimp, mushrooms, potatoes, zuccini, rice, wontons (5), one veggie egg roll
Snacks were:
2 cups vanilla ice cream
2 peanutbutter nobake cookies

water was 5 bottles and 2 large glasses (at the resturant)
exercise was NOTHING......
Went to church this morning and just spent time with my daddy, step mom, little guy, and Hubby (until he went to work at 4pm)
Dad and Stepmom are heading to Indy tomorrow so life will be back to normal (LOL if there is a normal)
My little guy keeps telling my daddy "papaw I can come stay with you" He wants to go home with papaw.... hubby and I have talked about this .....we are going there (to my dads) the end of July and we could pick him up then. But LOL I have NEVER been away from him for more then 4 nights(when I had surgery in 2007) and I seen him then every day ....... I CANT go without my little guy for 2 months NO WAY....... so I told him he can stay at papaws house for a night when we go there in July. He was not real happy with this cause he says "mommy I will miss papaw" but I am sure when we get back to our normal routine this week it will get better :)

No exercise today :(
was very busy grocery shopping, folding laundry and cooking dinner before I went to work today :( And visiting with my daddy and his wife :) They are leaving for home on monday morning...... How I wish I lived closer to my family :(
